I was just working out the size a photo has to be for Facebook’s Timeline. So here is what I have worked out and I tested the image on my own Timeline and it fits perfect
The size you need is 850 pixels by 350 pixels. It’s best to resize and crop any images you want to the exact size before uploading so you get it looking just the way you want. Shortly everyone will have Timeline turned on by default but you can request it’s turned on today by visiting http://www.facebook.com/about/timeline.
Click to view full size. You can download and use this image as a template if you want, but come on, apart from the grey box part, you don’t really need to worry about how it looks at as long as you get the sizes correct
You may know the old adage “customer has good experience he tells a couple, a bad experience he tells many more” they even did a study in 1980 for Coca-Cola about it and concluded an average of 5 people hear about someone’s good experiences with companies and products, but 10 will hear about a bad experience. Well with Twitter and Facebook, you can times that by thousands, tens of thousands even.
I just put up a one page website at gripesite.org.uk to let everyone know what a nightmare I am having with MBNA Credit Cards in the UK trying to pay my balance in full and close my account, something that should be really simple, I have been trying since January and I am now being told it will close in April but then said it would be February and then March so I am not holding out much hope.
Anyway read the full story over at gripesite.org.uk and please ReTweet if you’re on Twitter or Like if you’re on Facebook the site, or both
I am sending MBNA Credit Cards a clear message, improve your customer service and stop treating people so poorly.
My wife was having trouble with her iPhone 4 not uploading photos to Facebook, done all the sensible things to try and fix it, looked around the settings to work out what it could be and it turns out, if you have this problem of not being able to upload a photo to Facebook using the Facebook app, you have to make sure the Location Services is switched on.
To check this, go to:
Settings > General > Location Services
Check that Facebook button is switched from OFF to ON.

That’s it. Go back in to the Facebook App and happy uploading. Note that this issue was with version 3.3.3 of the App. Hope it helps anyone else who may have this problem

Yesterday I done my 2nd “proper” model shoot, the theme this time was Girl in a Summer Field, that’s in the country side and not some girl in a shop stuffing her face
My model was Stephanie my sister-in-law who done a great job considering she has never done this type of thing before. The weather was very windy at times and the lighting changed almost every shot however turned out ok in the end, here is a few from the set, you can see the full set over on Flickr.
